Chef's Corner: Recipe Deck
SAN FRANCISCO, Calif. (Ivanhoe Newswire) -- Bibby Gignilliat, founder of Parties That Cook! thinks cooking can be as easy as dealing cards. Her deck of recipes offers 30 sumptuous small plates.
Cook the peas ahead of time, add ricotta, lemon zest, fresh mint leaves and everyone's favorite, garlic.
"The next trick I want to show you is we're going to take a box grater and put parchment top and then we can just grate the lemon zest right here and if you can just scoop that in our dish, and then we are ready to blend," explained Gignilliat. "It's a show stopping dish that can be made in less than 30 minutes."
Another divine dish from the deck -- ahi tuna tar-tar in sesame won ton cups.
"We've got to chop up the cilantro, then we'll add green onions, toasted sesame seeds, we just cooked them in a dry skillet for 10 minutes. Lets add some soy sauce. Then add a little toasted sesame and sriracha," said Gignilliat.
When it's all mixed you can just take a small spoon full and put it inside the wonton cups and garnish with a sprig of cilantro. These are two easy recipes from the recipe deck that you can make in less than 30 minutes. Bon appétit!
