Directions: Preheat oven to 400. In a large bowl, cream butter and sugar with electric stand mixer. Beat in egg and vanilla. Mix baking powder and flour -- add one cup at a time, mixing after each addition. The dough will be very stiff. DO NOT CHILL DOUGH. Divide and roll out on powdered sugar surface and cut with cutters. Bake cookies on ungreased cookie sheet for 6 minutes to 7 minutes.
